Animal forms is a talent introduced in WazHack Beta.
Effects[]
The effects of animal forms based on the in-game description:
- Level 1: "You can polymorph into a low level animal at will;"
- Level 2: "You can polymorph into a wolf or similar animal;"
- Level 3: "You can polymorph into any animal and some magical beasts, and control all other polymorphing."

- Generally use:
- Combat: Giant Ant (lvl 1), Cobra (lvl 2), Hellhound (lvl 3).
- Running away: Raven (lvl 1, very fast flyer).
- Summoning pets: Werewolf.
- Freeze support: Winter wolf pup (lvl 2), Winter Wolf (lvl 3).
- Hp value are approximations.
- Change to/from animal removes all most some status effects like hallucinations but sickness and strangulation will be regained when you change back to human.
- Bonuses gained from potion/food used while an animal are lost on returning to human (max hp, bonus stats, fire resist etc).
- There is a maximum number of times you can turn into each animal (I.e. If transforming to practice spells don't use your main combat forms).
- Max mana and present mana is kept on transformation to animal present mana it restored on return to human (e.g. transform while at max mana if you want animal to have mana for abilities/spells. Transform use all mana transform back have almost all mana again repeat.).
- Worn items can fly some distance on transformation, so pay attention to hard to see items like spectacles.
- Only the amulet if kept for most forms; if you need to removed a cursed amulet use one of the No Amulet forms.
- Animals have a separate food level to the human if doing lots of running around or about to starve then being an animal will save food.
- Animals can gain xp and level up on transformation back to human the gain xp is transferred to the human; next time you transform to the animal they will however be restored to their base level.
- Small animal can carry much less then their strength indicates (E.g. str=7/con=12 human with encumbrance 2 becomes garter snake with encumbrance 4).
