A physical barrier that may be equipped by creatures who have hands. Some large creatures, perhaps due to their strength, such as ogres, may equip two shields at the same time, however this is a only applicable to pets and does not occur naturally in the game (Tested: pet ogre wearing a weapon, large shield, and small shield).

Unique[]

Armour[]

Suits of body armour made from leather or metal materials. Usually offers the most protection however is also heavier. Leather-type armour is susceptible to fire, while metal-type armour is susceptible to rust. Gold armour is immune to rust.

Robes[]

Robes

Assortment of robes.

Default body armour for most magic users as its cloth material does not inhibit spell casting. Robes are light which is good for character classes with low strength. Robes offer little protection but this can be improved using a Scroll of Enchant Armour. Robes are susceptible to fire but this can be fixed by pouring a Potion of Fireproofing onto them.

Note: All robes will modify the speed of mana recovery when enchanted. A positive modifier will grant faster mana recovery, a negative modifier will hamper mana recovery. A +0 robe will have no effect to mana recovery.
