The dwarf lord small room is dungeon feature behind small doors that a character may inspect or merely approach (failing a stealth check) to open, which will release a wave of dwarf lords. There are a total of 1-3 waves, each wave consisting of 3-4 dwarves each. Rooms located nearer to the surface may have as few as 1 dwarf lord per wave though this will gradually increase in deeper levels.
Location[]
- Depths of 500 feet and lower.
Loot[]
- Drops 3 random weapons (including arrows);
- Drops 2 random gems;
- Equipment from fallen dwarves.
Tips[]
- Small rooms can be triggered simply by walking past it (failing a stealth check). In the mini-map, a triggered room will immediately turn red;
- Pets do not trigger small rooms;
- Jumping past the small room to avoid the trigger does not work;
- Levitation can be used to fly over the small room without triggering it;
- Dwarves are quite powerful opponents, due to their armour, weapons, and high resistance towards caution. Unless fully prepared, it would be unadvisable to attempt to inspect or even pass by small rooms at 500 feet or lower;
- Use pets as buffer and support with ranged weapons, wands, or spells, if not a melee character;
- The safest tactic is to use a ring of levitation or levitation boots and attack from a distance using bows or a spear;
- Magical gems may prove valuable to weaken or outright kill exiting dwarves. Leave one near or by the door (preferably between the door and the escape route) and trigger the room.
