Containers[]
Containers are items in the game, such as chests or sacks, that allow the player to store their items. They can be found throughout the dungeon and contain randomized loot. Leather bags are the only containers which may be enchanted.
An important use of containers is to equip or use them to hold all of your inventory. This is more convenient than having to constantly add/remove items from a container. Items held in a container will not suffer damage, but the container itself may still take damage. Only items that are manually added to a container, and thus disappearing from your inventory list, will actually be immune to theft.
Extra containers are very useful for inventory management. When hauling loot to a vendor for example, putting all the items into a container will allow them to be dropped in one action to reduce encumbrance for combat, and everything can be picked up again in one action too.
Tips[]
- Beware when approaching large locked chests with low health. The chest may actually be a mimic that will attack you when interacted with. Once the mimic is dispatched however, it will actually spawn a large chest for the player to loot.
