The wand of magic missile when used casts the magic missile spell. When zapped, the magical beam will travel a straight line, damaging any creature in its path until it reaches a wall or door and may bounce off it multiple times, which however may sometimes result in friendly fire for the player and enemies alike. When the wand is thrown, the spell only inflicts the creature it hit.
This wand is considered a common item drop and the most found wand in the dungeon.

- Wizard (starting gear, uncursed wand of magic missile with 20 charges);
- Gnome (chance to drop);
- Kobold shaman (chance to be drop);
- Shopkeeper (sold if available).
Tips[]
- Throwing a wand at a creature will only effect said single target with one point of poking damage. However, doing so will not waste any charges;
- Wands can be recharged with a scroll of charging or from a shock source e.g. wand of lightning;
- Wands can be sold to the shopkeeper;
- The beam will bounce off walls and doors, caution when using in tight spaces;
- As this wand is quite a common drop, spare no expense in using these wands often early in the game, as they become less effective in deeper levels of the dungeon.
