A werewolf is a large canine creature later found in the game. This beast has a chance to inflict lycanthropy to any creature it bites. It will sometimes howl to summon wolves.

Lycanthropy[]
- If the player or pets are bitten by a werewolf, a text message stating "you feel feverish" or "[pet name] feels feverish" will appear. This indicates the bit creatures has lycanthropy and will turn into a werewolf soon. Eating werewolf meat seems to always result in lycanthropy.
- Reading a blessed scroll of remove curse or visiting a friar will cure lycanthropy, with the message: "you feel purified."
- Dying in werewolf form will revert back to human form, but will return to werewolf after a period of time. Eventually, you will gain an immunity and stop shifting, if you do not have the curse removed.
Tips[]
- Players that are transformed into a werewolf can still interact with doors;
- Werewolves cannot climb ladders. To escape, try climbing a ladder and hitting it with a ranged weapon as it runs away;
- Playing as a werewolf has benefits. As noted above, being killed as a werewolf, will always resurrect back to human form; Also, you have the ability to howl and summon pet wolves. One strategy is to become a werewolf, summon as many wolf pets as you can, and they will stay your pets even after you revert to human;
- Feeding werewolf meat to a pet will turn the pet permanently into a werewolf after a short period of time. Pets that have been turned into werewolves can summon additional pet wolves which will be loyal to you. The new pet wolves can be fed werewolf meat to change them into werewolves and increasing the likelihood of more pet wolves to be summoned;
- As a druidess/druid with level 2 animal forms you can turn into a werewolf and go back on command;
- Pet werewolves are the perfect tool to attack a shopkeeper. Stand close to the shop keeper and command your pet werewolf to attack. If it manages to land a hit or two, you will see the message "Shopkeeper looks feverish." Now you can call your pet back and walk around a little bit. Shortly the shopkeeper will turn into a werewolf and attack you and your pet as you get close. Once you kill it, you can loot it for the same items the shop keeper had, before you turned him;
- Even if your pet werewolf gets killed in the process, you can resurrect it by normal means (healing spell or potion, close wounds spell). The shop keeper will no longer attack it, but he will remain infected and turn into a werewolf after some time.
